AUXILIARY
The American Legion Auxiliary was established in 1919 and chartered by Congress in 1920. The Auxiliary is the largest patriotic women's service organization in the world with nearly 1 million members. The organization sponsors volunteer programs on the national level and local levels, serving veterans, their families and their communities. The Auxiliary was initially organized by concerned women who took on the day-to-day responsibilities of life when their male family members went across the sea during World War 1. Aware of many fatherless families and the needs of returning veterans. The Auxiliary has long and wonderful history of supporting veteran's families as well as their Post.
Post 67 Auxiliary is located at our new facility on Route 103 South of Chester, Vermont. We meet on the third Monday of each month.
We are some 200 members strong and always welcome new members. We are always looking for help at our many fund raisers for the community. For more information please contact Agnes Barnes at 875-3439.
